  4. well the thing is this the transfer cost was introduced to pay for the new computer systems and database , thats fine as members we understand that things cant go on year after year , but instead of saying well the computers are now paid for were going to stop this as unfair to charge the members who are paying there fees . But no hey we can make money and raise the transfer fee . Why do you think this is the case ? well not so long ago the R.P.R.A decided to charge each member of a partnership the union fees instead of one fee on the assumption that they could probably double there revinue , however there are those out there that fly in partnerships and carry there deceased partners names or father and son when father passed on , so alot of these have decided be cheaper to change there flying names , so this is a knee jerk reaction to hike costs up , rather than have transfer cost why not just charge a representative fee for membership ???? If we let them hike the prices up unchallenged then its a dictatorship , we the members have paid for the computers the database time to say no to the hike in transfers because they've brought it in under false pretences , i have no problem with paying more as buy very few birds so wont cost me alot at all , but could easily avoided by paying more in membership fees , then no need for charging twice for what we should be paying for by our membership anyway
  5. no problem its where i get mine from

  10. cheers Alf hope to bump into you tomorrow cant believe you dint make it fer opening time lol ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  11. well i think the only way is for the individual to change , if a shadow union was formed and gained support by members as individuals , then this forms a union once theres enough members then feds and clubs and nation clubs could be affiliated then all member would have to be members to fly then staff and offices could be sought , im sure if this route was taken it wouldnt be long before the new union could employ the staff at the R.P.R.A who actualy do a great job under difficult circumstances
  12. it could be difficult to get on a site if alot of fed turned up at a particular site , all im saying is if you were breeding birds with a new union ring then it wouldnt be recognised if sold to a different union flyer , but obviously if buying a winner wouldnt mean a great deal , and young birds could be rung with buyers rings anyway
  13. if feds did this then there would be chaos sites have to be booked so do ferrys , how would birds be able to race if have no rings and any new rings wouldnt be regonised :-/
  14. ones prescibed by my vet only , my medicine cabinet is green and mobile
  15. it would be a good idea for the big clubs and all feds to join together to form a new union this way it would be represented by fanciers not the 'old boys brigade'
  16. feds do have there own rules but still have to adhere to union rules , what could union do is suspend them ?
  17. you would need to be a R.P.R.A member to compete in races governed by your union theres the problem you cant leave R.P.R.A , join another union as your fed has no affiliation with them which means if you won a race it be void as you arent a member
  18. the problem lies here they are the union and we cant change that were nothing more than members , and can anyone see a vote by all members to change the way region and head office staff and general manager are elected ???? and dont you think these dinosaurs would over rule any movement to protect the job for the old boys brigade ???? were stuffed they wont regonise a new union , only way would be to start a shadow union build up the membership then affliate the federations then employ staff to do the map jobs , database jobs ectra , devise rules , and give more power back to the pigeonmen who have been neglected for far too long by an out dated regieme run in to the ground by dinasaurs that dont know there extinct yet
  19. Anyone can opt to join any union however they will still be goverened by the one that covers there area as will be racing under R.P.R.A rules and the federations are operating under these rules, theres nothing more than id like to see the NEHU and unc cover my area , but they dont
  20. there is as the R.P.R.A wont recognise a new union as a union
  21. the transfer fee was to cover the cost of there new database and computers surely this should of been paid for by now and should be nil , so the increase is just another rip off by the R.P.R.A , I think the R.P.R.A should be scrapped and made from the membership or at least run by a buisness man to improve racing in the U.K , ex boys club that knows nothing about the fancy has no idea how to move it forward , as long as were goverened by the R.P.R.A the more likely this hobby is going to disapear
  22. kirky wanted a pair , thought the pair there were just for show and bloke infront bought them he was gutted and from prices he heard of before they were relatively cheap
