think there's something in that and having them near back to back reduces birds

dust yesen off and get back up one race can destroy most lofts , no-ones immune to it , we all get bad races , the more you learn the better you'l get , but when you get a bad race , it's a bad race , yes some birds will always make it through , hope you can pick yasen back up , and hope yer starting to feel better

animals that hunt to kill are only doing what nature intended however , it will remember it's been frightened , however if hungry it also knows were food is , so if on it's patch will return , electronic cat chasers or scarecrow water devices or electric fence will make your loft more securer however a patterdale terrier probably most effective cat deterant

I believe most took the chance at the channel knowing there was mist and fog on the channel , because most thought better to put them up because of the heatwave the day after , which is when most of my birds turned all by 2 one the 3rd day missing 1 card winner , albeit Guernsey is at the west side i wonder what was it like at the Eastbourne end , i expect my birds 2 year olds and over to be on the day but if couldn't cross till after 12 on the Saturday then they would of been 2 day birds , yes some fantastic birds made it on the day but only a small percentage . But i do believe organisations or even the unions could pay for up to date live conditions and shipping forecasts on all channel racing , at worse should be able to get contacts on the coast to get to know what the visibility is like I read most that liberated 12 and 12.30 had a good race after the fog / mist had lifted

Cheers Tammy surprised dropped the griz hen I expected her in first 2 birds but 5 from 6 pretty good and only one of them had been to 512 miles before and the grizzle had carded before my guess is two day race up early white coloured pigeon bang , a bops breakfast grrrrrrrrr !!!! if not back by tomorrow I doubt be seeing her again

quite agree ybs mature too fast , also most reckon the young bird sickness was created by using darkness , if ybs are raced on darkness i believe it burns them up and they fall like flies as yearlings , most continental fanciers specialise is either young birds , sprint , middle or distance racing , very few do all , if they specialise in yb racing they don't keep them after racing , perhaps they already know this burns them out , but the effect of darkness and light ybs on a transporter is this they tend to break up into groups as the darkness and light birds will leave natural birds standing , perhaps this is why some loose birds , but I bet the majority of lost birds are darkness birds .

I don't think racing ybs over 200 miles does them any favours at all , at any distance preferred
