  4. my ideal loft would be 28 ft x 8ft central trapping on a corridor loft so only need 1 ets pad , tile roof is better for birds imo , mini avairys so can bath without leaving loft and sun bathe / basket , and more open for birds , probably would like a reinforced mesh floor on roof rafters upvc walls inside and out one to protect wood and easily wiped down so low maintenance and looks the dogs dangley bits whilst insulating the loft

  12. Agreed I've not heard or read a away to prevent it as yet whoever does will be a clever chap , have seen some say use cider vinegar and some say lime water , have to say the lime seems to neutralise it better for me with some cinnamon tea , then a light feed with live natural yoghurt on

That's why clubs have basketing comities , to ensure birds are healthy before putting in a basket , I would urge all clubs to try and fill baskets one at a time to reduce cross contamination from loft to loft . The argument would be we like them mixed up , they are at the point they leave the basket
