  3. Think I read a Barcelona report a few years back definitely no longer than two to five years ago most of the timers were all similarly housed and fed similar routine = open hole, But more about homing from that kind of distance , think same report mentioned an old cock bird that had been timed many times think was about 16 years old by a fancier in France, I've also not fed a tic bean in many years
  4. Quite simple really if you test your birds get your prescriptions via a vet and don't import them then you will have a receipt for all medications , if anything we should return to very little medication as these bops are flourishing because our birds are nearly 100% medically free from all ailments that would challenge BOPS , So actually could be a blessing in disguise and besides , I'm sure the R.S.P.B will have costs to cover for wrongful finger pointing when products come back as legitimate and any tablets / medications removed wrongly then they would have to reimburse this cost also , I certainly wouldn't want out of date products back , and you could argue they've been tampered with

    Wanted

lock one up 1/2 day then other out and swap over alternatively rubber band the aggressor then when he can't spread his legs he'll make a hasty retreat , it's amazing how settled they are until you put the hens in then they want more territory
  9. most of these issues are simply because your probably using internet explorer which is classed as an old browser however if you click on the broken box at the end of the address bar and view basics in compatibility view you will be able to access your pms
  10. most of the southern flyers that fly Barcelona have birds on open hole and hopper feed Tic-beans
  11. DEFRA police the use of prescription drugs , so basically if you've obtained a prescription only medication illegally then they have the right to remove it. They mainly target those that are selling / supplying as it's clearly illegal . Anyway if you only treat for ailments your birds have not much need to keep them as they soon go off , and a good Vet will keep yer birds right

  14. Some good answers there , it's not unusual for prisoner birds to exercise there wings in the manner you have described , also takes time for birds to get used to there new surroundings , also just because it's a matched pair doesn't mean they've actually been paired either so they could be technically newly introduced

  21. Probably one of the first things I ever read was Pigeons don't have teeth grit is used in the gizzard to help grind the corn to get all the nutrients from it plus giving calcium at the same time , most of the cheapest products and natural product are the ones we should be looking towards using , just because there cheap they shouldn't be discarded as been beneficial to our birds
  22. nope not that particular one
  23. :emoticon-0156-rain: :emoticon-0156-rain: Plenty of rain here
  24. First of all I recommend using a good grit such as versa laga with redstone along with just redstone grit also a crushed fabry Ideal block , to this I add seaweed powder and black minerals and 6 to 8 tablespoons of each this fills this mineral station , http://www.bleefe.co.uk/www.bleefe.co.uk/info.php?p=9&pno=0 ( grit pot ) So I told him to go buy some live natural yoghurt , this is firstly a good source of calcium it also supports the immune system by increasing the good bacteria in the gut , remember anytime your bird has a ailment it usually starts within the digestive system somewhere so look after the pigeons gut and your birds with be healthier and have a better immune system ( my biggest secret if I ever had one ), second thing was these pigeons would of been lacking nutrients so I wanted to give them vitamins and the best multivitamin for pigeons is brewers yeast so the yoghurt and brewers yeast was added to the corn also along with crushed cuttle fish and fresh lemon and a bit of mixed grit so the birds eat more grit to return them back to normal and they were back to normal as I said they would be , what a difference a day makes
  25. He's sorted it , first problem was he was removing grit and therefore the strain on feeding was causing the old bird to be calcium deficient , this in turn made the young birds they were feeding wet feeders , so a simple change of events the old birds weren't getting the nutrients for them to do well and all the goodness was been tried to pump up the young birds , I told him to give a few things and I promised his droppings would be like marbles and they were the very next day and all birds returned back to normal
