  2. We all muck in, a couple only turn up when they feel like it where as other help wether they send or not. Its a happy club so why rock the boat!
  3. be very careful when buying birds at Blackpool! Birds were being sold last year without transfers and there ring numbers ground off! I wonder why?
  4. that was Doncaster.
  5. buy the best in the uk, but only birds flying into the kind of area you fly into and at the distance you want to fly. When you've done that employ the breeder as your loft manager to get the best out of his birds!!

    ybs going out

It depends on you loft set up! If your youngbirds have access to a flight then they will see there surroundings as soon as they are strong enough to get into the flight. If the front of the loft is closed in then as soon as you wean the youngsters put them in a basket each day and stand it outside to have a good look around. An old friend of mine used to have a table stood about 20ft infront of his loft with a wire cage fitted on top of it, the youngsters would spend most of the day out in the cage and when it was feed time he would whistle them, taking the one by one and posting them through the traps. After doing this for a few days all he had to do was whistle the birds open the cage and they went straight to the traps and in. This was done for a few days before the birds were allowed to fly out of the loft on there own.
  7. some clean everyday some only between nests, it is realy upto you but what you don't want to do is disturb the birds from the eggs or young chicks!

    corn in plastic bags

its all about how its stored! whats difference with plastic bags and keeping corn in a plastic dustbin? Nothing, they can both sweat the same!
  15. Agree with Gangster, there may be a couple of stands selling fancy breeds but what i've seen there before have been total overpriced cr*p. Either find breeders through the NPA or Feathered world have some genuine fanciers advertiseing.
  16. Jimmy had BIS and Wheatleys had a good show but thats all I heard yesterday.

  22. i;ve never used either but i beleive its the same, once given clear for the season. Its the course of antibiotics that cures the problem and then the parastop or colombovac prevent it being caught again.
  23. would parastop not be easier?
