When I collect a bird from either a member or non member I always offer to reimburse any expenses but have never had money taken or taken money from others. I would add some barley to lighten the food even more until they are flying well. Give a very light feed in the morning and then main feed after excercise. Do I recall you were using a whistle? If so are you blowing the whistle every time you feed the birds for assosiation. Also try and break the habbit of sitting on the roof. Phil

I wouldn't worry about the dropping for the moment, the bird may have been out for some time, be exhausted etc. Once he's had some decent food for a couple of days and his digestive system has got back to norm his droppings should firm up again. Phil

They clearly don't miss flying out and have plenty of room in there respective lofts to fly around if they wish. I think you are doing a great job with them and your grandad would be proud! Phil

Before this goes of on any other tangents has Circovirus been confirmed by testing? There is a lot of Adenovirus (youngbird sickness) also around where youngbirds are dieing within hours! If it is Circovirus then every loft that sent birds should be tested and treated to prevent further spread. Phil

There are many places with Janseens including fountainhead etc but there are also many Janseen based family's arround as well. Have a look around your area and find out who is winning with what and look at obtaining similar lines as you know they will suit your area. Phil

Leyroy, what I would do is keep it in for a week, feed it up to get it back in condition and then take it to work with you again, chances are that when it is fit it will head for home. Members should always make the effort to get birds back especialy from non fanciers! Phil

Dunlinflyer, at least you are in a position to track where your bird has been and deal with the culprit. Iwould advise getting your local region to intervean as they will be able to verify the stamp and scan the ring etc. Phil

I would obtain a health certificate from a vet or DEFRA etc to give them a clean bill of health and then send this with a legal letter threatening court action to the club and fed! Then watch them squirm! Phil

I guess it has been attacked by a hawk which has been disturbed before killing the bird. It won't be anything that will effect your parrot. The bird need to be kept warm with a good supply of water and corn if you have any, if not rice, bird seed etc. The SU site is the best place to report it as they will be able to contact the owner who should contact you very soon.
