nice to hear 1 has made it but as Mick b said they may well have just not been upto the job!
Bops will pick of weak or tail end birds in a lot of cases and the birds have prob become exhausted yesterday becoming easy targets.
get the droppings tested just make sure there isn't an underlying problem and then if all ok, don't reduce the feed but lighten it and they will start to fly. If you feed them to heavy they will just sit around!
They will perch wherever they feel safest!
If for some reason they feel safer ontop of the door runners either something has disturbed them of they are just not comfortable on your perches.
We applied 5 times and got turned down each time saying no funds available and sec was told over the phone by awards for all no more grants will be give to pigeon clubs for ets!
Its a p take when some clubs have had multiple awards and one club we know of had a grant for ets and hasn't raced a bird yet and we are in a regeneration area!
Good point, always good to get a couple of training tosses with other birds to help teach them to break and also when you've only got a small team the shock to them of being thrown out of a crate with a few hundred others mustn't help them!
