    we use big crates for training and the best invention ever is the wheel barrow, rest the crates on top and saves carrying!
  5. you need a wipe clean base, formica etc, a plain coloured backboard and its best to have the top and sides made from frosted perspex to difuse the light. If you use clear perspex the birds will be able to see around and try to escape. Defuse the light source as much as possible to prevent shadows.

  9. You don't seem to see as many heavy wattled pigeons these days but i think thats just down to modern day family's although you still see good tusks on many a good stock hen!

    We are based within a rugby club and are covered under there insurance as we pay a subscription to the club but also have the clocks listed on there insurance.

  22. If your feeding a breeding mix are they still breeding/feeding young?
  23. they were consistant as youngbirds, never far away but came to the fore as yearlings. I was told that was what they would do so just trained them and lightly raced them as youngbirds.
  24. probably down to your feeding, lighten there feed and they will excercise better, also try flagging them to get them fitter.
  25. have been gifted a few SC yb's over the last couple of years from a good flyer in the midlands, they flew well as youngbirds and one pair took 1st & 2nd Oudenaarde.
