Spot on with your comments Mark. If spending large money on birds and you want specific blood any stud should be happy to allow a DNA test unless they have something to hide!

tskyes, what would you prefer, a non fancier picks up one of your birds and finds a fancier who knows how to care for it for you while you are traced or the bird to be possibly poorly cared for while you are traced? I'm sure the non fancier has kept track of where the bird is incase the owner bothers to claim it! It may have been stamped last year but as we know the birds go through the moult etc which is why they should be restamped before training but i'm sure you've done all yours!

if i need anything, prefer natural prevention rather than cure, i use DAC pharmasuticals.

baytril is a strong broad spectrum antibiotic, it strips immunity and the birds need a lot of aftercare!

seemed a bit daft giving out a ticket as most will have gone home. They could have predrawn the raffle so people could just check there number against the winners or just give out a slip to complete with name etc and post in a box.
