we've all done it taken birds got to lib site looked at the weather and wondered to lib or not, up they go and on the drive home driven through torential rain etc etc. Have sent birds to the race and never expected to get a lib but they've been chucked up to return home in a thunder storm, some will make it some won't but we've all done it!

What amazes me, not only the fact it is fantastic PR for the RSPB but where the expletive removed* are the RPRA, SHU etc etc in response to this article? A comment from a local fancier is a waste of time, why arn't our authority's responding! If it was a tethered bop and a report written by the pigeon fancy the RSPB would soon be having there say!

Its the racing fanciers that instantly get the blame, it doesn't look like a racer! Do tipler and tumbler flyers also not suffer so why do raceing fanciers always get blamed?

its not the way to do it! I've come accross a bird recently tethered being used to train a hawk, took the finder an hour to get the fishing line from around the rung pigeons legs!

Percy or Gosshawk will take the birds away to eat, sparrowhawk will knock to the ground to kill and eat.
