    can anyone help

the bottom pic id mother of top pic. All the hen the pair breed are similar to the top pic, if they breed any next year you can have 1.
  3. As much as they want tonight then pick food up and give them 1/2oz early morning.
  4. i know they would blame somebody for the error but even if it shows the light to a handfull of people its a handfull more that may stop tipping money into the bottomless pit!
  5. filling them up with maize will not benefit them!
  6. if they are youngbirds and its there first race they won't need any extra, normal feed on thurs and then feed Friday morning will be fine.

    like these?
  8. I hope you have e-mailed the original copy to prove they are just money grabbing again!
  9. nice gesture and look forward to seeing your results. Phil
  10. there is a simple solution to transmission/passing problem from loft to loft! My mate would never let anybody in the loft unless they put a loft coat on, he kept a suply washed ready and there was a shallow foot bath to walk through! I must have gone in his loft hundreds of times but always the same procedure, some may say over cautious but his loft was full of a lifetimes work!
  11. More than Europa!
  12. lol ;D ;D ;D
  13. Just seen the following on the RPRA web site! Careful all they are going to jump the birds another 4 miles, will there be any left? :- Another 30 plus birds have worked in today but we have been closed in with this muggy weather today with heavy rain also. We are going to give these one or two days off as they have been through alot the last 2 weeks and hopefully for the weather to return to better conditions for training. We will be looking at Friday 12 miles and the times will be on. Will update loft list tomorrow night.
  14. have they updated the birds in loft list?
  15. also 90% of there nest sites have camera's so how did somebody set traps?
  16. was the pigeon rung? If not how do they know it was a racing pigeon and not a ferral pigeon, tumbler, tipler etc etc?
  17. Sorry to hear the sad news. RIP

    faster

AsMolly say's its got to be within the birds capability to be able to get it out through keeping the bird in top health and then motivation.

    WHAT WOULD U DO!!

when the others are in, shut them out, feed the others then open the trap when no food left, next day, if they come in chuck them out again and shut traps until others have fed, 3rd day let them trap and feed, if they do it again get rid as you won't break the habbit.
  20. just demonstrates how brainwashed and tunnel visioned these people are!

using this might help the problem but won't do your racers much good! What a mess they'll look with grease smeared on them and what chance have they got racing in that condition as the birds will prean and injest the mixture!
  22. I thought temp buildings, i.e shed as long as they don't cover more than 1/3rd of your garden and are not to close to buildings didn't need planning permission.
  23. lino can be dangerous and slippery for you! You need more ventilation, put some grilles near floor level with a gap near the roof the air will circulate keeping the loft dry and fresh.
  24. Going back to your original post you want to visit local fanciers to learn! Do that! Don't go knocking on all your local fanciers doors asking to buy birds, make some friends and learn the game, how to care for the birds etcetc, watch them home from races, get advice on your loft set up and you'll find by making friends people will gift you birds! Its all about how you go about it! Phil
  25. increasing training stages at 3m each time they'll never get to 199m!
