its thanks to you morton that led me to send pics in, and a few comments, and they are taking it seriously too,[ as you will see by the e,mail,],,,,, i agree with you whole heartedly, that ALL fanciers join, it can do no harm in it whatsoever providing its the sensible fancier giving the fancy a good name and gennuinely concerned about the song bird revival their the only organisation ive seen that are dead against the rspb [for not telling the truth]and against the increasing numbers of sparrow hawks, that are leading to the destruction of our song birds etc,,,,, yes morton were better WITH them

hooky ,,simle question why do you do this? when most fanciers want their birds back whether it be a young lad or young lass,sor oap or anyone for that matter,,,,,,,, as a matter of interest i got a yb back at the start of the ob season, been roughing it all winter, this bird tuned out winning 7 races in a cup sending an ave of 600 birds a week also taking many fed prizes 5000 a week [yes remember ian , the whiteflight cock]the bird also winning a LOT of money.,,,,, so if you are trying to say that lost babies are no good your entirely wrong, as im sure after the last few weeks, there will be a lot of members agree what i say,,,,,,you can loose the best of them, but this yb that granma is feeding is only there, because she is feeding it, and shes probably getting a lot of satisfaction ,in doing so., also its through things like this we get new people starting up, grandmas sons, or g. sons, who knows, but not with comments like yours,,,,gdauy myte :)

bill pentland had the record for over a thousand miles ,a few years ago, its been broken since, but the birds breeding was a mixture off all the old scottish distance birds , no particular breed just generations of distance paired to distance, and trying them out all the time, i knew bill well, sadly no longer with us
