allways heard these as protein lumps , but as post above suggests ,it usualy only affects one bird ,so i have allways doubted that , however tying cotton thread around the base of it will stop the blood suppjy to it,, and itll just fall off ,

i wouldnt use ebsom salts for pigeons, especialy after a race , i would much rather use something to firm up their droppings than make it worse

all applications should be put in after the season ,, last year we nearly had to plead for them [check my posts last year] [[ another posting the clique have got themselves involved with > ] this has caused much bother in the past , i, for one , will not put up with [im sure one knows what one is talking about????] steph who was very nice to me, declined in 2007, then left the forum] so its very simple,, ALL young members put in an application , this sheild is won on merit , not just on winning races or indeed shows [bUT ALSO PART OF IT], ie did they build their own loft ,? have they reported strays , what situation are they in , what have they done for the sport,,,,anything AT ALL which will catch the independant judges eyes [i dont know who they are[ONLY THE WEBMASTER KNOWS] ,im certainly not one of them ] so quite simple ALL YOUNG MEMBERS APPLY,,,,,,WHO KNOWS IT MAYBE YOU GOOD LUCK TO THE WINNER
