Whats the secret? see people, this is what we are faced with within our fed

How many do we have this year to date?? just asking in general, when i eventually got my balance sheet.

At the last count when i done my proposal in 2008, there were 209 members. No-one has a clue how much is in the bank, i asked the same question just the other day. Surely that should be on the balance sheet?

This is what our fed needs, but we have a big team verses little team going on in our fed. Whereas it should be, members cover all cost whether they are sending a big team or small team, and whether they go to some races or all. Said what the best way would be before, but fell on deaf ears. If a race is cancelled that would have cost us £2000, then each of our 200 members recieve a £10 discount the following year, unless the saved money goes towards a new, more economical and better equiped transporter. I dont want to see members leaving but i also want to see things done farely. I love my hobby and want to continue doing so, without the politics. IF our fees had went up with the rate of inflation right at the start, we wouldnt be in this predicament. I hope sense is met with sense on sunday. alex.

As an idea. if the race programme, once decided, is going to cost £20,000. (for easy figures) to transport. This is covered by our 200 members = £100 each, then free birdage up to 25 birds, then 25p per bird thereafter. At least that way, our programme is covered no matter what the birdage is. Only an idea. and yes whatever may happen it will be decided on sunday.

Well i got up this morning to a freezing cold house as my central heating is broken down, due to be fixed tommorow. Had breakfast enjoyed some time with my 17 month old boy. Cleaned the birds out, clean dry grit and minerals given, along with clean water (after i broke the ice). Let my 12 pairs of racers out to have a fly out, and checked up on the stock birds. Cut down next doors ivy thats encroaching my garden and ruining my fence, and removed the tree that i chopped down last week. Took down all the christmas decorations on the front of the house, made a cuppa, and here i am. Not busy realy ;D

Just spoke to weecunny on the phone, and all is well. Thank you very nuch for getting in touch, sorry i didnt get back sooner. At the time of the post my computer was down, so never seen it. Its always nice to hear of lost birds, and even nicer that they have been looked after, thanks again weecunny, alex. PS thanks also to everyone who helped trace the bird.

Fully agree, if its not broken dont fix it. Didnt get a balance sheet as i,ve moved house, and it will probably have been sent there. I stand corrected that the way it is, works. As long as its fair for all members, then that suits me, as for having money, yes i do, just like you, and just like you, dont throw it away. Archie i understand what your saying we all have opinions, which i fully respect, We will just have to wait and see what happens at the AGM. all the best alex.
