  1. It was a cracking morning, bit breezy and cold but in my opinion a perfect day for a good race. I do believe a good race was had It would be nice to see more pictures brian, maybe taken by convoyers. Bring the camera back and either put them on here by themselves, or give them to someone willing to do it for them. bigger hint hint
  2. Here is some photos i took on my mobile phone, of the North of Scotland Federation, which liberated at Thornton Fife , yesterday. Can i say a huge thank you to the guys for bringing down 2 young birds, which were given to me by Robbie Higgins (robbiedoo), and thank you very much to robbie for the 2 cracking young birds.
  3. 9 cocks and 12 hens are going to Witton Castle 116 miles to me. Cold wind or not, they need to get through the rough wi the smooth
  4. I was given this system by a good friend of mine who sadly passed away last year, and was looking forward to putting it in place with him. However i,m using it myself and its a realy good one, in my opinion.

  7. No rest for the wicked they say.........so needless to say i,m working
  8. 16/18 from otterburn Ian Hopkins wins at 17.24 also had 2 from previous race and a training toss.
  9. thats it......... double the medication. I start my on call at 5pm, and now in no position to change it. Now the prospects are, that i now miss the race if called out, that i was looking forward to. And secondly not a clue when to do the clocks, we said 4 hours after lib, that means 9pm, jeeesus christ, what a day
  10. nut
  11. Thats how i,d expect it to be, it would help for us to organise our day better. The reason i brought this up, is because i,m on call and trying to work out the best for me firstly and then my club. I,m a crabbit git at the best o times brian but when on call, times that by 10, and when this happens, times it by another 10 lol good job i,m still taking my medication
  12. What information does your fed give via the lib line, and how often is your updates. Fife Fed has been pretty poor in my opinion. Today we have had 2 updates, the last one being 1311hrs to tell us that there was hope of a liberation at/or before 3pm. Its now 1615hrs and we have,nt heard a thing. Now going by the rule book it should be a holdover but not a word from anyone surley we should have the first update prior to the proposed lib time ie 9am, to inform us if our birds are going at that time, and if not, some info as to why not and when the lib line will be updated again. Talk about getting kept in the dark
  13. Dont say where you heard this from or john mccord will be in the bad books, it wasnt supposed to be said till they confirmed it... thanken you.

  14. Fife fed at otterburn still no update as at 12.12pm. But were told at 10.41am that there was a chance of a lib after 12pm
  15. brian we had this last year, but canny remember what i done. I,m sure you just change the date before you strike of the race. not sure though.

    Welcome Back

well done to all concerned with the new site, so far, so good. Well done.....
  17. i hear and appreciate all your thoughts thanx. I dont like putting people out, so was just looking for options. Thanx again. looks like i,ll be looking for pressies when away
  18. Does anyone go holiday, leaving their birds unattended? If so whats the best way to leave them, ie feeding and water. I,ve had someone look after them before, but feel awkward about putting him out. If there was a way around it i,d look at doing it, as he has his own work and pigeons to look after. I,d be away for 2 weeks, thanks in advance The time i will be going away, is when i,m finished racing old birds and preparing the young guns.
  19. Thank you Graham i,ll give him a call
  20. Just managed to get this pigeon into my loft, any help to repatriate would be appreciated.
