Rikki that was done by the liars and protectors of small bird murderers, 9/10 years ago. I,m pretty sure the east has caught up with the west by now. 1400 pairs equals another 2800(2003) the following year followed by 5600(2004), 11,200(2005), 22,400(2006), 44,800 (2007), 89,600 (2008), 179,200 (2009, 358,400 (2010) and 716,800 (2011). Now take away natural/deliberate death and bad hatches ect we would be left with about half a million breeding pairs. Spread that across territories and you have the whole of britain pretty much cover. And thats working on a figure given by the liars. regards alex.

Fife fed have a proposal in to move from Kelso to Berwick Upon Tweed, due to hawks. The first question to be asked is "how many hawks are at "kelso", the answer will be = dont know. Does anyone race from the Berwick point? and how does it fair? Regards alex.

Looks good mucker. I would take care when putting a window in, as the pigeons sometimes forget theres a window there, and they fly right into it, resulting in broken necks. Well done, and looking forward to seeing the finished article. -

I think we are the only club that has the traditional presentation night in Fife, which i,m always keen to keep alive. Because we go to a lot of effort arranging this for the members, its appreciated and everyone who attends returns the favour by getting all dressed up and has a great time. What i havent shown is the buffet we had and also the raffle. We asked all members to donate a raffle prize, and we had in the region of 40 prizes, which isnt bad from 19 members. We raised £195 raffle, £260 tickets and a £40 donation from a local business SAPHIRE GIFTS (Jock Brockies daughter). The club lost nothing and gained nothing and thats exactly the way we want it. Tickets were reduced to £5 per head, canny wait for next year now lol lol -

click to enlarge Some photos of our presentation night last night, which was yet again a huge success where everyone had a great night. Many thanks to Mary and Jock King our guests of honour, and to the people who attended to make it a night to remember. Thank you very much. Another massive thank you goes to my wife Karin, who without her i wouldnt manage to do half the things that i do, to keep the club healthy. -
We are holding our presentation night on Saturday 3rd of December at 7pm. We have a hot and cold buffet, disco as entertainment and presenting our array of trophies is none other than Jocky King. What an honour it is to be having who i regard as a fantastic flier not only for club and fed, but snfc as well, presenting the trophies. I,m sure it,ll be another fantastic night for our members. Regards alex PS I f anyone should feel the urge to put the word about that our night is cancelled as per what happened last year, please contact myself before telling the world........you know who u are.

its the fuel thats costing a fortune, the trailer isnt ideal, no access up the middle ect, however the convoyer is doing a sterling job with the equipment he has available to him. 7mpg is what we are getting compared to 13mpg with a smaller lorry. regards alex
-
i,m just looking at the possibilities, to see what suits the fed members best. joint convoying wasnt supported but i,ll be looking at that as well just to see what the pros and cons are. at the moment the membership are in favour of replacing our trailer due to the cost that it takes to pull it. comparing it to having ur own lorry, its double the price, so its a no brainer. however if we struggle for the new lorry, we will have to rethink along the lines of joint convoying. No stone will left unturned during the next wee while. it would be nice/ideal to have it all sorted out for the start of the season (end of april). thanks for the comments and best wishes, its much appreciated. regards alex.
