  7. Pigeon picked up this morning. In a box in my unit in Kirkcaldy, being fed chicken layer pellets with water. Got caught by the owners cat, but not too much damage. Just give me a call when your ready. Always here to help. Regards alex
  8. Hello mate. I got a message from Robbie Higgins about your pigeon. I'm picking it up tomorrow morning and will look after it until you arrange uplift. Kind regards alex
  9. I appreciate and realise this. This was not intentional on my part, which I'm trying my best to rectify and give him what he wants and needs. Its all in hand.
  10. thank you mucker, this was put to archie, and explained what it was and what its purpose it has. Theres a break down in communication, regarding painting it straight away. Im sure i suggested painting it with a bitumen paint, but that conversation got lost along the way. We are now looking to get it sealed as soon as I'm back.
  11. It would be shocking if i was running away from the problem. Archie WASNT flying old birds this or Young birds, but as the loft was up, he was going to try a few young bird races to get him back into it? theres no reason for jacking it in, as the issue is being worked on. nothing wrong with the nails
  12. no excuses have been made, materials were good. Poor information given regarding treatment of the wood given by the timber merchant? its not being sorted out by Archie, we have discussed what the next move is. This is not seconds wood, and its not leaking everywhere? if i by timber from a merchant its up to them to be selling a material fit for purpose. framing is 3x2 bearers at 400mm intervals get onto the ********** that built it?????
  13. 19mm log lap mucker. The problem is that it never got treated straight away, got wet, then dried, hence shrinking.
  14. This has been and is being dealt with between Archie and myself. We tried to rectify the ongoing issue by repainting the loft 4 weeks ago, which has only come to light, last night, that it hasn't done the job. We discussed sealing all joints with wood filler /expanding sealant on my return from my family holiday, which Archie agreed to. The loft was build with treated wood which is treated against wood bourn insects and rot, hence the yellow colour. The nails aren't an issue. The issue is not, being treated straight away, (poor advice from the timber merchant). If an issue has been raised by Archie, i have acted the quickest i can. I have listened to "experts " (not on here), and learned valuable lessons, to make sure this doesn't happen again. I wont get into a slanging match with anyone, as everyone is entitled to they're opinion, and I'm both professional, and above that standard. This is hoped to rectify the problem once and for all. kind regards alex
  15. Here at RV WOODCRAFT- CRAFTYFIFER

  17. Thank you guys. Its been pretty manic here, so a wee re group, chill and beer is in order lol
  18. We will be taking a summer break from: THURSDAY 13th JULY 2017 UNTIL MONDAY 31st JULY 2017 I will be picking up calls once a day whilst I'm away, and dealing with them accordingly. My last day for dispatches will be WEDNESDAY 12th JULY. I will be spending time with my family, and also doing some fine tuning and alterations to my unit. I thank each and every person who has helped us get to where we are today. The future is very bright, and looking forward to it very much. Thank you all for your continued support.
  19. As i said on the phone call, get the paint, i,ll pay for it and get your loft painted, free off charge off course. Ive been let done badly with this product, but never want to see my customers let down. So again once you have the paint, give me a call and i,ll get along and get it completed.
  20. Your very correct. MKM KIRKCALDY is not going to be used again, as they have sold an inferior product which doesn't do what its supposed to do. Im awaiting an answer for the Manager, to see what his take is. Archie has been let down, quite rightly so, as I've been let down, and i will be doing all i can to help rectify it, and very soon. All previous timber has been purchased from MGM Glenrothes, and never had any issues. MKM states its only treated against rot and wood bourne insects???? and not weather. False advertising there then, as "treated" would suggest its weather proof. They're recommendation is to treat the wood straight away. I wont fall for that one again, lesson learnt :-(
  21. Great feedback for your loft Archie. Its been a pleasure being a part of getting you back into the sport, by building your own design loft, boxes and perches. Best wishes for the future, I'm sure there will be a few winners in there for you. Kind regards alex
  22. Thank you Paul, we have been in contact
  23. From all the staff here at RV Woodcraft and Craftyfifer, we wish each and every one of you a very merry christmas and a happy new year.
  24. I had a very good day, meeting new and old faces. Good to get feedback of what we are manufacturing, be it good bad or indifferent, its always something to act on to keep us at the top. I have a great interest in ALL pigeon areas, with the show pigeon guys and girls educating me along the way, its a fascinating side of the sport. 2 stalls missing from previous years, the clothing one and the floor whiting one. I myself never received any notification of the show, and do feel it needs to be advertised better, to make it even better than it is. (not knocking anyone, just an observation, as i know and appreciate how hard it is to organise such events). Hope all that attended had a great day, as did i.
  25. I will be attending once again, with a slight new look. I will be promoting my products that I do here at Craftyfifer and also RV Woodcraft which I purchased in May of this year. I will be bringing: Pipo boxes Double perch boxes All purpose boxes Nest boxes with grills and cleaning tray Nest boxes with plastic fronts Baskets X2 Polycarbonate Sputnik Timber Sputnik Corridor feeders Corridor panels Ets trap Stall trap Louvre vents And possibly a few other bits and bobs. Most products will be for show only, with orders taken on the day. I'm looking forward to catching up with new and old faces, and have a good natter. It's a great show in my opinion, and has been supported very well, and sure the same will be this year. Regards alex
