    Couriers

I received a phone call from Gary at G & R Couriers last night after he read my comment on pigeon chat to give me his side of things, and also mentioned he had instructed a lawyer in the past. What was said on that call will remain between Gary and myself (and whoever was sitting in the background). I will say that i have had no problems with George as I've stated before, and i trust him 100%, and will continue to do so.

    Couriers

Hi Wullie, i need to say that i,m responsible for not getting your order to you as discussed. I should have kept you up to speed with what was going on, but i didn't. The working relationship between myself and Saltire is a very good one, however i failed to meet my high expectations. I do apologise for the confusion regarding your order, and i have learned a lot with this error. I have now put in place proper procedures that will eliminate this in the future. George is at your front door as we speak, I've just given him your mobile number, to pass over your order. I hope you see from this that its been human error on my part, and i whole heartedly apologise, and hope its not tarnished the relationship between yourself and Saltire Couriers, or indeed myself. kind regards alex

    Couriers

as a small business i use Saltire Couriers all the time, and see George every week at some point. I,m just off the phone to George and he is very saddened that this has happened. He has ceased work with G & R, and since then he has received threatening calls from them. In my own opinion only Georges reputation is being attacked from G & R, which is very sad also. I write this in support of Saltire Couriers, as a truer gentleman you will ever meet, and the work George does for the fancy is second to none again in my opinion. I hope this gets resolved soon. alex

  21. Hi Pete, if you can't gain access to the aviary, you can fit a tray underneath which pulls out for cleaning then replace it. My one was on slabs and was able to gain access, so was easy enough to get in and clean out. alex The mesh doesn't have to be really thick, same thickness as chicken wire would be fine. I use 1/2" x 1/2" aviary mesh. alex
  22. Not blowing any trumpet, just telling you what the feed back is that i get from my customers.
  23. Fully agree with Paul, WBP is the way to go. Although the wood is internal, pigeon droppings are wet, and weather can be damp, which the wood doesn't like. As for price, its slightly dearer but no where near double. As said to me by one of my customers is " you buy cheap, and you will buy double", thats why i come to you for the quality of the goods and the materials that you use, which will last for years. I know Paul is of the same thinking and produces fantastic goods using the best of materials as well. But its up to each and every one of us to make our own choices, which will be fully respected from myself, and again i,m sure Paul agrees with me.
  24. If no pull out tray, I use 18mm wbp, which is ply and can take the treatment from the pigeon and also last for years. If your using chip board ( which I don't recommend), have a ply tray to protect the wood. Chip board loses it's shape through time and doesn't have the same strength as ply. But ultimately it's up to you. all the best alex
