Our club has just purchased a new laptop to assist with our ets. I,ve tried loading and using the programme on it but cant seem to find the base station. Is there a certain thing you need to do as it is now vista and not xp. If anyone can help me please get in touch thank you.

Cheers guys. hey Brian i remember someone saying that they plan to win a fed race, is it this weekend?????

Just a wee message of thank you to each and every one of you great people. I recieved a boost the other day when i got a cheque through from the Pigeon basics fund. It has went a long way to helping me get back on my feet after my bad experience. I now own a 12ft x 6ft loft, supplied by blakes, and it is home to 27 young birds donated by the welsh guys i know. I,ve been flying my survivors for the past 4 races, not doing anything like i used to but through time i hope to get back to the level i was at. I still have 100% so i,m happy with that. Word is out who done my loft, and how it was done, 2 young guys and a petrol bomb. I am humbled by the support shown towards me, and i know i,ve said it before, thank you all very much, good luck to each and every one of you for the future. Lets keep our sport as healthy as we possibly can, its not as dark and bleak as its made out to be.

We have a peregrine falcon 300 yards from us in the quary, and they have a similar patern when they have young. One will fly high ready to dive and kill, whilst the other 2 sit at a lower level. I,m presuming that its an adult up high showing the young how to perform a kill. I have witnessed this on 2 occasions.

Dont mention it lads, nice to be nice. Will catch up later. Alex.

Brian is arranging to pop up, mook isnt going tomorow as he hasnt had many feedback. Brian is going to let me know when he is coming up, if theres a problem i,ll get it to you.
-
If any of you boys in Leven are on Mooks transporter tomorrow i,ll get him to drop of my clock for you to update if you want. I,ve done 5 so far and will procede through the week to do the rest. Its working a treat, thanks to Naedoos. I,m using the result programme at the weekends too and its a great way of seeing the result unfold there and then.

Thats right Brian, when we go to Leicester it will cause problems for everyone who hasnt done it. I think Archie was saying Leven was doing it, we have started to do it tonight. If you do it you wont get caught out mate.

Nea doos yer a bloody star lol. I saved it to my laptop and then upgraded the base station whereas i was trying to do it straight to the base station. It got downloaded first time. Thanks again mate.
-
Did you download from the website? i seem to be having problems downloading.
-
What way did you upgrade Naedoos?
-
You will need to update to 2.86 for the proffesional clock. If you dont and you go to Nationals and they are using updated version, it will update yours automatically. Not a problem, but when you go back to your club, you MUST update every other members clocks to the same as yours. You can do this by putting your updated clock into members base stations. I,ve tried to download the 2.86 and pulled my hair out in the process, because it would stop downloading just after 14% ish. So as yet i,ve not managed to upgrade yet. Unikon say that upgrades are going to be available as and when they encounter problems, so as to make the system more efficient. Ipersonally would like them to do trials in the close season so as to take uneccessary pressure from secretaries. Can do with out it.
-
Bart there is another update 2.86, you can download it from www.pigeon-ets.com.
-
Never thought of that Archie, i,ll bare it in mind, thanx.
-
No offence taken mate i,m just trying to work with the system as best i can. Dont get me wrong its not ideal to be faced with these unexpected problems.
-
Same here fifer. As most people know we had a problem 2 weeks ago when a racer arrived home, and went through the wires and timed itself in. The problem was, that his clock was not in the base station, so when it came to striking off, that birds time was not there, details of the bird was but no time. The reason it was not on the print out is because the base station did not know that there was a race on, and only does if the the clock is inserted into it prior to the birds arriving. As for this happening when the clock is in, i dont know what happened there. We have had members tell me that some birds dont time in(including myself), but as they are there they put them through manually. Apart from that, there has been no other problems to record, to date.

Who's hiding the truth Ian, or not telling the truth.
-
Andy what was the problems that you were having? just so that i,m aware if i meet the same fate(god forbid).
-
I,ve spoken to our area rep for the system, the update is for the champ system only not propesional. We too have been using the 2.85 programme, and we have also been using the result part of it too, to give our members a result there and then. I personally dont have a problem with it, yet, touch wood.
-
I,ve not worked out how you send them throught this site, i,ll try and send it when i fathom it out.
-
I,m sorry but if Unikon was to charge for these updates, all hell would let loose. My question is, we dont race for 7 months, then in the space of 4 weeks there has been 3 updates. Surely these can be done when not racing instead of complicating things whilst racing.

I bought a 12ft x 6ft loft with 2 sputnicks(wooden), sliding left door and sliding centre door from Blakes lofts. Just phone them fora quote. Delivery to scotland was £30, dont know about yorkshire, the guys built it in 30 minutes and made a cracking job. I,m over the moon with mine. The loft cost £620, sputnicks £35 and delivery £30. Total £720, well worth it.
