  3. I,m moving to sunny Lochgelly lol. Thats where my wife is from, and my mother-in-law is going to looking after our wee boy. I,m in the process of helping the club at Lochgelly apply for a lottery grant for the ets. As i know what i,m doing with it i,ve been appointed ets conveenor? They have all been realy nice and have offered to help me move. Thats what its all about eh. Just cant wait to start flying again, my young birds are bouncing but cant be raced till next year, but i may have them ready for the kelso come back in september.

  5. Thanks very much boys and girls, as for the looks, well the people who know me would put me in the same group as redcheqhens niece, lolo not. Sapper just give me a call and i,ll gladly give you a quote. o happy days lol
  6. Thanks m8. Yes it allows you to work for a corgi registered company under their corgi number. If you want to go it alone then you do the course then apply for your own corgi card. £4000 it cost me in total.
  7. Hi all just a wee note to let you all know that i completed and passed all my exams today. That now qualifies me to be a gas service / repair engineer. My house sale is still on target, and hopefully move next week, and i,m looking to start my new job on 25th August. They say life begins at 40, well i,m that too in November, lol.
  8. How high do they stand m8.
  9. Hoi Mr sapper call yer sel a m8, at least i told you i was movin lol
  10. lol i meant we have been in contact in the past. That would be great m8 if you could help out.
  11. It realy does sound as though the clock wasnt in the base station to start with, that would mean the birds would arrive as trainers. Listen m8 dont feel guilty we all have to learn and i,m sure the guys will appreciate that. I had the same problem, and it was as i say, the clock wasnt in the base station beforehand.
  12. Aye dovescot has been in touch with me, didnt know about stormin, i,d like to keep them though lol
  13. Is there anyone local to me who could possibly breed me a couple of white fantails. There is no rush, i would like to use them as trapping enticement, next year. I live in Kennoway and would gladly pick them up, they would also be doubled up as pets for 1yr old son. Many thanks.
  14. Nah i had my other team o doos to contend wi (tam laings).
  15. Just to keep the local boys and girls up to speed about our local residents, we are continually being hunted at the moment. For the past 4 days i have been woken out my bed by the distinctive screeching of young peregrines. This happens at about 6am, and to my horror, there is 2 young and 2 old. The young should have been away from the adults by now but for some reason they have just started to do their rounds. Today i let my birds out at 9.30, and lo and behold down they came, but as i keep my birds on the hungry side purely for getting them in, in a rush they all trapped without any losses. So before you let your team out, just be aware of these b******s.
  16. Congratulations to you both.
  17. apology accepted m8, just want the sport to prosper, i realise there is politics involved, but we need to keep them seperate threads and let people(yourself included) enjoy our sport. All the best.
  18. Novice and peterpau, for christ sake get a grip, this thread is all about the guys and girls who are flying with the snfc, they are in a race and dont need to have it spoiled by tit for tat crap, leave it out. Start enjoying your sport instead of bickering!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! make no wonder the sport gets a bad name with the likes of these poison comments.
  19. I unfortunatley know how this guy feels, as dovescot said it happened to me, its hard but i kept on going due to all the support i had from fanciers all over. The fortunate thing for me is that i am moving house in 2 weeks, so i,m getting out the area. May be harder if i was staying put. I,m sure we will all help this poor guy out and help him whatever his decision, all the best, Boomerang aka alex wight kennoway fife.
  20. Good luck to our welsh friends for this race.
  21. Archie does that y/b have a wing stamp or clip ring on?
  22. Rebel why dont you advertise your club ect, and show the same passion as budgie. Its easy to do, lets be positive in our sport instead off knocking others. You wouldnt hear a Rangers fan big up Celtic would you (only an example). Good luck to you all.
  23. Sorry to hear of this sick act, but glad you are continuing to keep birds. I too was knocked off my feet with an arson attack, but because i love the sport that much i picked myself up dusted myself down and am in the process of getting back to normal. I had to install smoke alarms, door alarms, padlocks and hasps, and 2 large security pir lights. I also have 2 lights on continuously through the night. Cost me a small fortune but gives me and my birds a pice of mind. All the best for the future.
