The days of Culzean Victor are long gone im afraid, unless everyone from the west started sending their birds again. Jimmy, when Kennedy won Rennes there were 1000s of birds sent from the west,especially Ayrshire.The fanciers in the west were scoring regularly and their returns were usually very good. The last Gold Cup winner in the west section was Matt White of Paisley in 1980, almost 30 years ago.We all know that wind is a major factor in pigeon racing but in Nationals,I think, drag is an even bigger factor.
