Aye it is Dal,but ive heard all this crap before about birds being ok after 7 days in a basket. The odd blow home race after a long holdover might make it seem ok? Ive handled doos that were brought back home after 7 days in the basket and I reckon only 1 in 20 could've even attempted the journey. The vast majority had lost 500 mile condition.

My opinion, bring the doos home!!!!

Doos first at all times, never mind drivers taking days off work so the doos must get marked because of this. Never mind halls need booked, that can be changed and accommodated and is all petty pi sh. Answer for everything Bobby, doos first at all times simple as that. ps. get yer doos away to the races and then you will realise the f kin anguish we are going through.

We all knew the weather had to be crap and the birds have had days in the basket that weren't needed. Shouldve been Friday for Sunday/Monday lib as predicted.

Good post Roland. I remember when I was a lad and their were 36 lofts in our club. It wasn’t unheard of for more than 30 of them setting up their pigeons for the longest fed race or the Gold cup race from Rennes. No budgie racing then, everyone strived to achieve the ultimate, getting a doo on the night from the big races.

I know Tommy, every other organisation can travel in less time, I wonder why the SNFC want an extra day or two, with extra expense

possibly Sunday but its bloody ridiculous we have to basket birds nearly a f kin week earlier. Cowboy stuff imo
