Good hardy doos in those days but it was much easier to get them home Jim, you will agree. We had a doo 11 times 500+ miles and many 4,5 and 6 times across.I remember we had 32 obs in loft and 27 had flown channel, ohh memories lol.The doo game is not a patch nowadays on what it used to be, because of bop etc, imo.

Hard race, I get the sugar level of birds up to a good level on return, therefore high carb/fat mix is used with the peanuts.All easily digested.

Sea salt only in really hard races where birds return totally fekd with dehydration.Alot of folk think salt is salt but how wrong they are!!!As Wacko obviously knows, sea salt is the bollo..s and is totally different from any other.
