I had a hen reported about 4 years ago. On checking the book I saw it was off my no1 pair, responsible for stacks of SNFC prize winners.I contacted the guy and said i'd send for it as I had lost it off the loft as a yb 3 years previous and it was off a good pair of mine. To my surprise, the fella offered me £300 for it.I wondered why he did this but assumed the hen had bred him some decent offspring and he obviously thought that I would've said keep it as it had been away so long.I declined the offer and got the hen back. Shes a cracker and has turned out one of my best breeders :emoticon-0140-rofl:
