  1. Told ye all, everythings timing, lol Aye m8, cracking pair, bit old but they aren't that age for fk all
  2. £60 the pair
  3. I was told the same years ago but im afraid things are moving on now and we understand a lot more.
  4. Disagree here, when training, I stop my van, open the back doors and lib immediately, from the back of the van, not outside. ( although not the first couple of tosses with ybs )The only thing they do differently is orientate for a couple of minutes whilst in the air and this lets me get a head start on them on the race to the loft.
  5. Thanks Jimmy, I hope he was equally proud of me when we flew them together. He was a hard task master and disciplinary who didn't accept excuses from me nor the pigeons and its probably made me the pigeonman I am today as I tend to think the same way as he did.
  6. The pigeons immunity should be built up by the fancier, at home but the transportation should be as sterile and well presented as possible imo.The fancy should be portrayed to the public in the best possible way and that isnt possible if using shabby, unhygienic transporters.
  7. Good stuff, they def look the part .
  8. Fkoff ya wee cant
  9. Optimistic right enough, 2114, 101 years away
  10. nice pair of birds, what have they bred Jimmy?
  11. I agree with this post. The only thing that should be put in the water whilst pigeons are in transport is electrolytes in very hot days and even then Im not sure if its better than good clean water. You cannot add any disenfectant to the water because this can upset the gut flora of the pigeons and if their stomach isnt right, you will not get them performing or homing well.
  12. Shes showing good condition m8 to catch up in the moult. This bird would be at the top of my list for performing at one of the main events in 2014.I like birds to sail through the moult especially throwing more than 1 flight at a time They wouldnt do it if they werent at the peak of condition.
  13. Heard its at a new site with a new 90 feet loft but whether its true or not, I dont know.Im afraid the only thing that was missing for me last year was transparency.Nobody knew wtf was happening with their birds and that is the worst thing you can do when running a o.l.r.Hope it is better this time round.

  23. I dont need the fence anymore as my hens are kept in the aviary and my feeding system curbs their appetite for mating up most of the week.I used the fence years ago and never knew anyone to have tried it before. Now you see them used everywhere. It was a fantastic system, I used to tap a cane on the floor and the hens jumped up onto the v perches while i pulled the fence in front of them.Perfect, its amazing what you can teach them to do.When I got pigeon lung I devised a basketting method and I tap a cane and have 50 ybs basketted in 10 seconds.Make it simple
