No, if you could prevent it then it would have been prevented by everyone by now. Ive heard all the cures etc and every single one doesn't hold water. If we knew what caused the virus then we could sort it but its a guessing game. YBS is a salesmans dream as the money that is spent to try and cure it has been unbelievable. The poor doomans wallet suffers again!!
I stopped feeding oil to ybs although I know plenty of fanciers who throw the oils into them. Some folk are kidded with chubby ybs coming out the nest, as there results show. Plump, apple shaped is good but too fat is not imo.
Your right Frank, some of the racers are turned out terribly and can never get a ticket in front of a well turned out dipped doo BUT as long as the well turned out racers are not getting beaten by dipped doos for major prizes in a racing class.
