    Rollers wanted.

Thanks for the generous offer, they sure look nice but i'm looking for some proven lines & £30 quids to much of a gamble for this pauper! Need to see them in the air really when it comes to rollers, i've bought some right crap before now & have learnt my lesson, thanks again, don't want to seem ungratefull.
  3. i've registered pal but when i go to log in gives bad user error message, i've messaged the site mods.

Thanks dovescoat, have you seen them perform? might be a bit costly for me to get them just for the 2. I've tried to registering on the roller pigeon discussion forum but it ain't letting me on? says bad login? can anyone who's a member help me out?

    Rollers wanted.

I'm after some good quality rollers, I want to put a really good kit together. I'm not after many just good quality, if anyone can point me in the right direction i'd be very grateful, & i've already pm'd steveO!
  7. would parlour rollers work well seeing as they don't fly?
  8. Cheers, they aint doing that yet. they're flying between half hour & 50 minutes at the minute but almost always in sight.
  9. How far is 'ranging' ? I watch these young birds go off sometimes up to half mile, possibly a little more, i think they're around 10 weeks old now.
  10. The feed has to be right with them, try 2 mugs full & work from there with 16. Also i flagged mine, they get the message real quick & still very tame. flag means keep in air once the routine of half hour flying comes in no need to flag. Too much food & the may fly for a while but barely roll, food i've found affects the consistency of rolling.
  11. what age do you start training & from what distance? then after this initial toss what's yer routine?
  12. thanks a lot.
  13. Got them sorted now people, i was just panicking l.o.l & they were just young, now there foods right they're really putting in the effort & bombing back in to shed.
  14. Just had first 2 young hatch yesterday & all others are sat on eggs now, they were just young & stupid i think, plus carlsberg sorted me a couple of older hens which soon sorted the boys out!
  15. happy birthday pal, have a good one, hens you gave me shouldn't be too long till hatching now. have a good one.
  16. probs not pal, having flown peregrines, to them a lone bird can often be a weak bird, they only thing a flock does is give it a choice.
  17. I as close to tickhill as possible without actually being in it so if the club exists would be good for me to join, i've been told by more than one person it does exist but it ain't on rpra & can find no reference to it? With this being my first year & having very little money didn't wanna splash out on joining north east prov but local clubs don't seem to exist , i'm gonna try rossington if i can't get info for tickhill.
  18. Anyone got a contact for tickhill racing pigeon club?
  19. more obvious in them pics.
  20. cheers, can you stick one on when it has a few more feathers on if you find the time or remember!
  21. Have you got a pic of the red gay pied karl?
  22. how old were these birds sportka? I just got my first young racers, had them in for 1 day then let them out as they had never seen outside, they've been out everyday for a few hours for 4 days now.
  23. Cheers, if you see this madmax what do you reckon pal? you bred them & have done well with them what would you do?

  25. Cheers, was giving them a couple of days to settle, the above what rembrant said was what i've done with my rollers in the past but didn't want to cut there food too much as they've got more work ahead of them than the rollers & wanted them to have best start.
