  5. I'm looking for sprint pigeons that are 'pretty' as the wife would put it, she needs them to be pretty & i need them to have a serious prospect! They don't need to be world beaters but i don't want crap either. any stock considered, closer to doncaster the better. atb, james.

  11. Anybody keep them or know where i can get them?
  12. pakastani's or whatever you've got, cheers.
  13. I've just been told that the earths magnetic field is the lowest it has ever been in recorded history & that the poles are due to change as they do every 100,000 years , could this be the cause of bird losses? sounds reasonable to me.
  14. Also, if i was a member of nepc to i have to pay a subscrition to the mnfc to take part in the mnfc races? The nepc application form has a bit asking for mnfc member no?...i'm confused...again l.o.l
  15. Right! All my local clubs are rubbish! I've tried hard to get in to one but no joy, they're either shutting down, not enough room on transporter at the momment or just out of catchment, to be frank no wonder the sport is going down the pan, you'd think people would be falling over themselves for a new starter. I will join the only local one to me but won't be able to race saturdays as no room on transporter but they are starting a midweek race which if nothing else will be training for the birds & training for me! I also won't be able to get cards or something as i am out of catchment! whatever! just wanna race my pigeons! Anyway! I'm gonna join the north east provincial as this seems the only way i'm gonna get to race these birds on a saturday in the near future, I didn't want to do this because i'm completely bloody skint & it costs £100. My problem now is this, as i'm not in a club i don't know my long/lat & need to put this on the application, I joined rpra to get rings so do i get them to give it me? I tell you what, the amount of calls & questioning i've had to do to get this far is mad, no wonder people don't bother, don't think it helps me not really knowing anyone racing in area. Cheers for now, james.
  16. I've split them, already getting back on track, we live & learn. cheers for advice.
  17. Do you mean these hens are celibate then?
  18. Hello again! I can see this novice bit getting used by me mainley l.o.l Todays problem is... I have two rounds of young birds, ones that have been flying out for a month or so & some fresh ones that i picked up off the very generous MADMAXLOFTS! What a mr, without him i would not be racing pigeons, 14 birds he gave me without ever meeting me, as i said before mate ANYTHING i can sort for you just let me know (hows your friend finding the rollers?) anyway there are 2 ages of pigeons & having the younger ones seems to be messing up the first sets routine i.e making them land/not fly as long, Do i just put up with this until they become stronger or fly them seperate till they become stronger? Cheers again, james
  19. I've pretty much left my birds alone after reading advice but now i have started giving them the odd chuck it seems to stress them a fair bit when catching them up to basket them, they seem o.k when basketed but the catching them is not good, acting a fair bit wild. What can be done to tame them down or will this just come with repetition? What do you old hands do! james.
  20. Nope no success yet , couple of leads, there's an auction tomorrow but i'm on nights so don't think i'll make it, bristol's a long way from me, would like to get in touch with a yorkshire flier really. I'd go anywhere for some real quality though at right price.
  21. I've always had rollers pal, the racers are new to me, the racers flew for 1hr 50 this evening though so chuffed with how they're going.
