That my friend is a blatant case of discrimination, everyone should be able to have a back-up not only those who use Manual Clocks.

Just the same as if you set a T3 and an STB as a back-up, you nominate your T3 as your first clock and if it goes wrong then you still have the STB times as a back-up. But you can only use the back-up if your first clock fails. In the SNFC all ETS burds have a rubber put on and manual birds are double rubbered in case of mishaps.

Could he not still get a second clock set?

Tam rule is up here that you cannot use two clocks for the same race,ie mix rubbers and ETS but you can set a second clock as a back-up if your ETS fails or your first clock stops. Would imagine the same rule applies down there.

The base stations should have had the correct race points entered before the season started, the rule book tells me my ring numbers have to be correct or I have to set a manual clock so the officials should have ensured the base stations were correct as well.
