No Amtrak went bust, nothing to do with pigeon fanciers - maybe if fanciers had stopped using them they would have gone under long before as to be honest the vans were normally empty when they delivered or collected from me so maybe its our fault they lasted as long as they did. AM have always done a good job for me hence why i passed there number onto a friend a few weeks ago, i am sure he is giving them plenty of work by now

Im not taking anything away from the bird or there owners - well done to them - someone had to win it they did - end of. The welfare of the other 1100 birds that are still out or sat in other fanciers stray boxes are the issue.

Maybe it should be asked what made them come to the decision to liberate on Sunday - what did they see that others didnt? - if it wasnt to keep the owners happy. Maybe next time they could put some of that money into ensuring the birds are liberated in favourable conditions - maybe not the cheapest but the best way to rebuild the reputation of the race. Surely a few less barrels of ale and a hot dog less each should be suffice

I would put the opening bid on my bird to make sure it made the amount - plus i get the bird back
