i use beach sand, still has tracers of coal from local beach, no yellow comes out of it,i spray it with virkon s disinfectant

I used to use 4 to 6 inch of sand with loft white on loft floor, rack it with a garden rake every day, use polls instead of box perches [i used brush polls ]that way they not walking in it drops straight on to the dry sand. plus with the polls it used to stop there feathers breaking on the feet.

Right say you had a pigeon to pick up at Newcastle to go to Manchester. You would have to drive from Yorkshire to Newcastle [about 1 hour] from Newcastle to Manchester [about 2 hours] then back home to Yorkshire say another hour. That’s 4 hours minimal wage £5.52 that’s £22.08 wage doesn’t leave much for petrol if you charge £24.00 at £1.34 a litre. I think it would cost you more in petrol than you could charge for picking the bird up. and that’s without getting any wages.

i wouldnt if i was you,i did it 10yrs ago and got 21 month jail for it,and now find it very hard to get a job,most jobs do a check to so if you have a record,dont want to no you then.
