  2. A week ago we (Glasgow) were at Otterburn The wind South/West at the home end it was a gale force West wind with the trees bent double and the surprising thing was 3 members including myself had birds reported in the West not so much clashing as scattered
  3. I know all soldiers are aware of the risks they take when they enlist but to get sucked into a conflict to "appease" someone else doesn't do anything for me just hope the suits have got consciences my thoughts are with the families left to mourn and to young men no longer with us

Capetown is a lovely place spent time Seapoint before travelling up to Johannesburg raced pigeons in Zimbabwe different ball game but managed to breed a pigeon that was 4th in Zimbabwe, Umhlanga Rocks to Bulawayo. Hope you manage to resolve your problem as the heat does crazy things to the birds and humans would check ventilation especially with the fibre glass roof

  11. If my geography is correct ferry1 let these birds up within striking distance of their lofts and 50miles is a bit Malicious and as bigda states it's all about helping each other.
  12. The club member who had 5/27 has featured in the National race result on numerous occasions ansd is ruthless in his selection to put it in a nutshell only 4 members sent 18 birds on Sat. and we have we have 12 flying members

Know exactly how you feel, birds all raced 62 miles sent them 82miles lost 13 sent 5 to 107 miles lost 4/5 sent again to 107 miles lost 3/5 the season is over still have some left but not trained but will be pushed hard over the comming weeks a lot of good birds have been lost one member had 5/27 two reported one in Ayrshire the other in Exeter From Otterburn :-/

Thanks lads thought that might the reason as I had been trying for 3 days just thought someone may have recognised the Ring No I let two birds up at Dennyloanhead today as they were within close distance of their lofts got a phone call at 4pm to say the GB bird was back in Renton and a call at 6pm to say the ML bird was also back :o Both birds were locked in as we live in a valley with Loch Lomond at one end and River Clyde at the other birds don't seem to be able to get out and fly about aimlessly until they select a loft
