  1. Ive got a few like that.....they were running abit on the fat side, so I cut back the grub and in a week they laid - might have been a coincidence?.....Ive also got an older hen thats been paired for months...broody, and sat tight on a nest with no eggs!!....
  2. Im trying some stock from Ian this year... the delbars and Jan aardens look class......can't wait to test them.
  3. I've been loaned a direct son out of it.... although He's an old boy. Class looking pigeon though. Wasn't sure what to pair him try him with...... currently got a spare JA, Jan Thealan and delbar hen....and a couple off Frank Taskers piedy boy lines - names don't mean alot to me to be fair, but I didn't want to waste a possible decent pairing as he's 2002 bred..... Thanks for the info.

  11. well, after all the prepartion, my first race has been flown from Kettering. I was up at daft oclock with a couple of friends who wanted to have the crack even though they're not pigeon fanciers...Got the text from the Lins Fed at about 7.30, and shortly after 9am birds started to drop into lofts around me. Really enjoyed seeing my birds fold up and drop in, and although I doubt if I even scored, I thoroughly enjoyed it.... :-) Still 5 missing though which is disappointing.....Off to the club at 7 to see whats what over a nice pint of smooth to top my day off nicely ;-)

  15. Yes Wiley......I was lucky enough to be lent a few pairs from Mr. Taskers Filmstar and Piedy boy lines from an excellent stockman. ttthese birds appear to have done alot of damage locally. I am however new to the sport and names dont impress me, but these have produced some handsome specimens, but the proof will be in the racing though ;-)
