I just want to minimise this happening to my birds, I know living on the edge of a wooded area I have to live with wildlife on my door step, I will never stop trying to stop this from happening, I know fanciers who have lofts and cage bird keepers with aviaries that are struck continually by sparrow hawks who will never tire of trying to stop similar things happening, I am sorry but it is no different from the endless posts on other subjects we have on the site

Too true, they claim to be the the voice of knowledge on birds and yet they play dumb on the diet of European birds and say European eagle owls originate from India, last time I looked India was not part of Europe Regards the grain companies; they make millions out of pigeon fanciers but it is only a fraction of what they make out of RSPB endorsed bird products, go into any garden centre, super market and most any other retail place and you will see their products, ask for pigeon feed and they think you are daft

Put the feeder and drinker under an upturned box or cage, prop one side up with a stick attached to a piece of twine/string to the bottom of the stick, when the bird goes in pull the string and trap the bird inside, remove through the top of the box Good luck
