One of the best thing would be to discredit the propaganda of the RSPB, their pamphlets show nice little song birds and cute ducks yet they spend vast amounts of money protecting POB and buying up land and endorsing feed products for song birds and blame farming and population explosion for decrease in habitat. Hit them where it hurts most people "in the pocket" pigeons will never gain public support, we can't even support our own causes without bickering:(
-
I doubt that will ever happen, they are as bad as each other :(
-
No problem Brian :)
-
Brian, if you get it up to my parents caravan at Coldingham/Berwick area my parents will bring it up to Penicuik and we can get it from there if that helps Or we are in Lanark and Edinburgh this w/e if someone can get it up to there

We have our own rings on all our birds, you can get them made easily from http://www.ringco.co.uk/ or http://www.everythingforpets.com/ I think you should also get them rings from the SHU which if lost will be reported to the SHU and then you will be informed by them, also you have more chance of selling them if need be PETE!!!!! age old argument all pigeons are descendants of rock doves ;D ;D ;D You cannot release true doves as they have no homing instinct so white homing pigeons are used and marketed as white doves. Love Pigeon does not have the same ring to it as Love Dove ;D ;D ;D

FLYIN COURIERS09 WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED
chickadee replied to flyin.couriers09's topic in Notice Board
Wayne, you have never let us down and if you could not do it you let us know. We praised JCL for the one job they done for us when you were the driver at the time working for them. I must add JCL never even turned up the last time we booked them :-/ Personally we don't care about all the crap posted about you as it is typical of cyberspace and hiding behind a screen controlling the key board, sadly that is what some are only capable of -
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!! But not worth £600 for a cross breed but I believe they will sell for that, but better that £1500 for a chiwawa ;D ;D ;D

It's called weeding out the opposition ;D ;D ;D Maybe he is taking his inter breeding programme a bit too far ;D ;D ;D -
Our Staffie is great with everyone except the postie and Valiant. The postie is a common enemy of dogs as it sees them as trying to invade their property every day but we cannot understand why out of all the visitors we get it only bites Valiant ;D ;D ;D If it just attacked someone and caused serious damage as in this case we would have it euthanized as it could be a kid next time

I think customs and excise(VAT man) can, they can also seize property and bank accounts, something the police can't do without a warrent :-/ :-/ :-/ -
Happy birthdat Frank from me and the clan

Same here, we know what we saw and that is all that counts to us. Probably similar to people that don't believe that sparrow hawks are killing our pigeons and song birds till they see it for themselves

This was sent to me in an email as one of those chain mails but it I thought I would share it further It will take just 37 seconds to read this and change your thinking..... Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the room's only window. The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back. The men talked for hours on end. They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation.. Every afternoon, when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window. The man in the other bed began to live for those one hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and colour of the world outside. The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake. Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every colour and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance. As the man by the window described all this in exquisite details, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine this picturesque scene. One warm afternoon, the man by the window described a parade passing by. Although the other man could not hear the band - he could see it in his mind's eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words. Days, weeks and months passed. One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died peacefully in his sleep. She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the body away. As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone. Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at the real world outside. He strained to slowly turn to look out the window besides the bed. It faced a blank wall. The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this window The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall. She said, 'Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you.' Epilogue: There is tremendous happiness in making others happy, despite our own situations. Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness when shared, is doubled. If you want to feel rich, just count all the things you have that money can't buy. 'Today is a gift, that is why it is called The Present .'

My story is genuine and not one of the fantasies I would have

We seen one in Glenrothes area a couple of years ago while walking the dogs, even the kids seen it and judged it size on our staffie. It was a lot bigger as it was noticeably bigger when our staffie was closer to us than it was. Anyone that knows our staffie and it's nature knows what she is like with cats it hates cats and would have gone for it but it didn't, I think it must have sensed it:-/ There was one reported in Cupar and made the headlines at the time :-/
