Hi Babybird
Let them settle in first and get used to their new home before you try and tame them, mines are tame because I raise them that way. Patience and it will come but not to all of them as some never tame, you may just spook them if you try too hard
Most fanciers that came to visit us and when they see our lofts they reckon I am was too clean, In the main loft I now use hemp as our suppliers cannot get easy bed, I rake it most days and sprinkle with Stalosan once a weekbut I still scrape the aviaries every day and use loft white once a week. I scrape my fancy pigeon loft every day and use Stalosan or loft white once a week and all our birds seem to being well on it. Our dove cotes are cleaned and sprayed with Avisafe each time the young have fledged
Welcome to the site son, and I also wish you every success in your new Dove release bussiness adventure, just DONT think you are getting any of my birds ;D ;D ;D ;D
Sorry to here about that Racer, this is our first year racing and I am dreading taking our ybs out for their first toss, luckily we don't get a lot of bother around the lofts especially since we used the plastic eagle owl and eagle owl cd
We looked at doing it but the networking side was a nightmare and that was just for Scotland, a few have tried and failed and it seems like the normal service now is they are doing certain areas once a week and some even once a month. The days of Amtrak are long gone where you could almost guarantee 24hr service in most parts of the UK mainland

Also we were speaking to a guy yesterday that has Jackrussel pups, really small parents that he uses for working £200 each, he stays on a farm just outside Milnathort Fife
Duncan had two of these border terriers years ago, absolutely mental and would tackle anything, only trouble was that you had to strip the hair from them regularly
We were at Tammy's club mates loft and the pigeon pen was all grassed over, Duncan stood in some right up to the ankles when so he washed it off then done it again in another part of the garden so me and Tammy drove off and made him walk back to Tammy's for being so stupid ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
JM couriers, picked up from us last night and delivered to Manchester and Cirencester today, £30 for up to five birds but they don't supply boxes
07 756 167 388 or email jmcouriers@sky.com
Pigeon pen is the best there is, Duncan's brother supplies us with a bin and he swaps them every time they are full, he has a huge plot of land and produces an abundance of plants and vegetables, only time he does not take it is when we medicate the birds. He odes let the pigeon pen rot for a while as it is very strong and is high in nitrates
Duncan also delivered 4 ton of cow manure to him the other week, some may think that is a lot of crap but it's true ;D ;D ;D
I read on a thread that someone feeds their pigeons on dried bananas, can anyone add to this whether it is good for them or not
I feed mine all sorts of things apart from corn mixes, ie elderberries, lettuce, broccoli, garlic, honey
Mine love elder berries, lettuce and broccolli amonst other things so not just corn eathers, although I have never tried bananas dried or otherwise :-/
I may ask this on a seperate post
I tried to reply to tryer's pm but I can no longer send pm's for some reason, I tried to contact system administrator as advised but it does not accept my email address either, I only have one email address so how does this get solved if I cannot Pm or email anyone and why has it happened?
