I put up a post regarding the same thing by haarp the other day

with all these low pressures we are haveing caused by the position of the jet stream have a read at this and make your own mind up as the u.s. have been experementing with a project called haarp which can alter the jet stream type into ypur search engine haarp and have a read could be the cause of all this weather

we flew west coast 3year ago with young birds although the weather was crap we still had a good season with alot less losses that we were getting down east but got changed back the following because it didnt suit the overfly brigade also we never had a problem with longtown as our birds take a different route from lanarkshire

the fall in membership imo is due to the age of fanciers in the sport no young ones coming in also getting to expensive to keep feeding going up cost of fuel for training etc

hopeit gets busier get them all back down the old route

wait till the edinburgh clubs start winning all the fed positions then they will wish they hadnt let them in

I still say the first thing that has to be done in all federations to reduce stress and dehydration on all transporters whether geraldys or conventional is reduce the number of birds per basket I beleive this will help the situation dramaticly omo this is the biggest problem cost before consideration for the welfare of the pigeons

one thing thats not been mentioned is the amount of birds being put in crates/ baskets omo the less the better regarding pigeons getting access to drinkers olso less birds in baskets less heat build up in basket/crates

get a strong west wind out of belgium and wich way are the birds going to come up EAST

what I cant understand is lanarkshire etc are flying the west route why then are you wanting to fly out of belgium and possibly germany surely you should be going back to the old race points sartilly rennes nantes which is on that line of flight not going away to the east or is it all to do with overfly once again
