  5. john, in my opinion there,s defenately something in it but dont know what, ive heard fanciers mentioning this many times with very differing opinions with some saying its a myth others a firm believer that theres something to warrent caution when sending doos then ?? sun and the moon in the sky together usually means we have a hard race ahead of us, and for me saturday was a disaster and im still 6 short, all but 2 are 3,4 & 5 year olds and have all flown 400 to 500 mile winning at club and fed level ,im no expert in this subject but defenately a believer that something plays havoc with their homing ability at this time, im sure some of you lads reading this have researched this and have more of an insight into the subject, i wonder if other birds are affected by this as well ?? john

  14. another two weathers , one from shearwater( east of montrose) and the other from claymore ( north east of fraserburgh), the first weather was taken from the "storage facility " blue holm " north of fraserburgh shearwater platform weather east of montrose air temp 12.7* dew point 12.! QNH pressure 1001 wind direction 168* south easterly wind speed 16 knts gusting 19 knts clud cover full and over cast at 300 ft and poor visibility 5,277 meters and deteriorating mist and fog patches. claymore platform weather north east of fraserburgh air temp 12.2 dew point 11.1 QNH pressure 999 wind direction 137* south easterly wind speed 19 knts gusting 23 knts cloud base 600 ft over cast full cover visibility 9,700 ft and deteriorating not the best lads and its much the same from other installations , not favourable for liberating here john
  15. in all honesty i would be reluctent to lib as it stands just now, the weather here has deteriorated in the last hour , i will have a look at sme of our weather stations on some of the ther platforms between the east side and shetland and let yous know john

  18. listen lads, i can give you and up to the minute weather from the opffshore platforms on your line of sight between shetland and the main land if thats any good to yous, i give demolition man the same forecast, i use shells weather web site for offshore and refinery bases john
