  1. What sort of prices does the SPDS charge if thats Amtrak prices. I have a bird reported somewhere in Inverness by a none fancier, so i will have to send for it. Any info guys please.
  2. The above pigeon will be liberated this afternoon at ST Andrews, thats all i can doo as it is taking up my small basket. I will feed it before it goes.
  3. budgie, I hope you get more home mate, thats not a lot out of 70 :o , always interesting to here from the race controller though. Keeps up informed on your returns, am still waiting on 6.
  4. Your right there Duncan, ave heard owe about it. He wants to be in charge awe the time.
  5. Hary thats all you seem to be doing these days, is banging your own drum, i can hear it from hear. ;D ;D ;D
  6. I use both and have no problems with them but i use the ETS. But stall trap would be the preffered one for me, so thats my vote.
  7. Dont clap your hands whatever you doo, you will just frighten them and could result in some lossess. Leave them to find there wings, once some of them go up, the rest will follow, you have to have patients with them T-T But again they are your birds mate. Dougie.
  8. Merlin This was no Kestrel mate i can assure you on that, it was a sparrowhawk. The kestrel only hovers above the pray, not very high, this was high, couldnt believe the hight of it. Thanks for your comments though.
  9. Cheers Brian, i will give him a call and see who it is, answering machine, but left a message on it to call me. Cheers mate.

    Sparrowhawk

I just looked out the window over the fields area/gulley what looked lik a sparrowhaw, went and got the binoculars and yes it was, watched this for a couple of minutes before it dived into the field area. What amazed me was, it was just like hovering but it was climbing all the time, has anyone else ever seen this before, because i havent, i can also say that it was very high, i thought it was percy but no. You could not see this with the naked eye.
  11. The above bird has been here for a while, just got it in 5 mins ago. The blue hen has got an orange clip ring with the number 11 on it. If this is your bird please contact me via a PM.
  12. REDCHEQUEN, who did the bird belong too.
  13. DING DONG DING DONG. You dont have a bell on the door its a chapper. ;D ;D ;D

    U.N.C. Huntingdon

Not bad quality from a mobile, arent the transporters a bit close for the amount of pigeons released. What was the returns like for this type of race.
  16. Same old story getting, theres always someone buggers it up for someone else. :(
  17. Fine hut Duncan, if was to get another one i think i will chap your door with cash mate, where did you buy the boxes from. Chickadee will be proud of you mate. Well done.
  18. I go into the hut lift the bob wires then they come out on there own free will, there not long of learing chrisss, i also have a sparred door mate. Open the doors and they just lie about the hut. No problem when i take the board down, they are out within minutes mate, drop the bob wires then get them in on feeding time. ;) Gangster, i dont get much problems mate with the sparrowhawk or percy, but if i was too take down, then i think i would get some bother, the owl moves abit as well, the crows nest a couple of houses down from me, they are a big help to keep the raptors away though, they have been there for a few years now, and dont bother the doos, am happy they are there. :)
  19. timbarra, i would love to get away sitting in the garden mate, but have got other peoples birds to train, fine when the birds are all home though, peace and quiet unti the daughter comes home from school, and the wife finishes her work. Thanks for the comments guys. Much appreciated. Dougie.
  20. I was looking out the good shoes, and the new suit as well :( Hope you got a good training toss with the birds the day mate, up at 10.40
  21. ssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh you ? Thanks for the comments sapper756 and the old fella. ;D ;D ;D
  22. Just some photos i took of the young birds to-day, hope they turn out ok. Dougie.
  23. Spencer, hope that one is house trained mate, ;D ;D lovely looking young bird, the winner will be very happy. Hope it gets a few quid for the charity mate.
  24. The amount of birds he churns out, and how much winners are reported within the year, the price of corn isnt helping out either, nearly every month the corn has to go up. I cant mind the last time, a new fancier came into our club, why because of the things that are going on with the price of things.
  25. Always the same guys that doo everything in the club, the others just sit back and watch, it would be better if all mucked in, makes things a lot easier.
