Singer Amy Winehouse, 27, has been found dead at her north London home. A Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed that a 27-year-old woman had died in Camden and that the cause of death was as yet unexplained. London Ambulance Service said it had been called to the flat at 1554 BST and sent two vehicles but the woman died. The troubled singer had a long battle with drink and drugs which overshadowed her recent musical career. She pulled out of a comeback tour last month. Last month, the north Londoner pulled out of the European tour after she was jeered at the first gig in Serbia for appearing too drunk to perform. For 90 minutes, she mumbled through parts of songs and at times left the stage - leaving her band to fill in. Winehouse had won widespread acclaim, aged 20, with her 2003 debut album, Frank. But it was 2006's Back to Black which brought her worldwide stardom, winning five Grammy Awards. http://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/images/54232000/jpg/_54232812_012515020-1.jpg

Khan seeks appreciation World champion looking to win over British fans http://img.skysports.com/11/07/660x350/Amir-Khan-Zab-Judah_2625014.jpgAmir Khan feels more appreciated in the US but says he is determined to win the hearts and minds of the British public. Khan faces Zab Judah in a light-welterweight world title unification fight in Las Vegas on Saturday night. Despite his achievements in the ring, Khan has struggled to be universally accepted in his homeland but that has not been a problem in the US where he has spent much of his time in recent years, training at Freddie Roach's renowned Wildcard gym. "There are still sceptics around at home but I always say that I'm the best, most exciting fighter Britain has had for a long, long time," he said. "You can put any name against me, but I know I'm the most exciting. "A lot of people don't give me the credit I deserve but I fight because I love the sport and want to put on good shows. "When I retire, the people who didn't think I was that good will think 'hang on, Amir was good after all'. "I definitely feel more appreciated here than in the UK. At this moment in time, I'm getting more love in America from boxing fans." WHO WILL WIN THIS FIGHT?
