I enjoy sitting out in the garden and watching my birds exercising high in the sky, I enjoy preparing a team of birds for a race, and eagerly sitting at the loft awaiting their return. Breeding your own team of racers is also a pleasant experience, especially, when they perform well at the racing. Also, the friendships that are made and shared, I enjoy visiting fellow fanciers lofts, and regularly have friends visit me at my loft. I also make a point of shaking the hand of the winner everytime, unlike somehttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0138-thinking.gif I do enjoy my pigeons, and they keep me out of troublehttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

As those who are racing this weekend return from basketing, please feel free to post on this thread the birdage from your club, stating where you are racing from also. Thank you and good luckhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0137-clapping.gif

what part of "LETS HEAR SOME POSSITIVE COMMENTS" don,t you understand Marc?http://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Recently, on most pigeon related sites a majority of posts are regarding BOP or mass young bird losses, expense of keeping/racing birds, although we can not ignore these issues, I ask myself, why do we persist and carry on year in year out with our birds. If I were a youngster, or someone considering joining this sport, I would have to be convinced that there are possitive experiences also.http://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0126-nerd.gif So come on folks, lets hear some possitive reasons why we carry onhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0137-clapping.gifhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0137-clapping.gifhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0137-clapping.gif

Wallace seals Gers move Left-back leaves Hearts to sign five-year deal at Ibrox http://img.skysports.com/11/02/660x350/Lee-Wallace_2564736.jpgRangers have completed the signing of Hearts left-back Lee Wallace. Gers had a £1.5million bid accepted earlier on Thursday and the Scottish champions acted swiftly to tie up the move. The club has announced that Wallace has passed his medical before signing a five-year deal at Ibrox, with the Scotland international admitting he jumped at the chance to join Gers. "It's great to have a club of Rangers' stature interested in you and then when it comes to signing for the club it's even better," he said

Barney rumbles Nicholson Lewis sees off van der Voort in style, clinching victory with 170 finish http://img.skysports.com/11/04/660x350/RaymondvanbarneveldAberd_2585149.jpg Raymond van Barneveld and James Wade will meet in the last eight of the Sky Bet Mobile World Matchplay after both registered hard-fought second-round wins on Wednesday. Van Barneveld battled his way past Paul Nicholson 13-9, putting paid to any hopes of the latter facing Phil Taylor in the tournament. Nicholson upset 'The Power' with his reactions on stage after defeating him at the UK Open recently and then fanned the flames further with comments after his opening-round win in Blackpool on Sunday. However, 'The Asset' was unable to get the better of van Barneveld in a match that while full of drama, was not quite of the very highest quality. There was little to choose between the duo for much of the contest before the Dutchman took five straight legs to move 11-7 ahead. Nicholson, who had earlier managed a 164-checkout, took the next two to stay alive before eventually succumbing in the 22nd.
