Have released in gale force nigh, all home after a hard work out. Pouring rain and fog. Yet have lost - far too many - from 5 miles on good days when over looking their loft. When aside a mssive church, and a 2 1/2 square mils of lakes.... must be seen 40 -50 miles away when birds are up high. Yet straight past, or lost! Personally I went back to 20 odd miles first chuck.Was hitting Nottingham regularly after 3 chucks, and losseses no where near as bad. (Lost a little bottle I guess as would normally be 35 -miles or so. Then two / three longer chucks in different direction. then first catch up race of 112 or 140 miles. So we just don't know, and seem to hit on a routine hat suits us, and then we are happy and swear by it. Good luck Bakes, I'm sure most will get home ... doing them the world of good I guess.
