i add live natural Yoghurt to water and i feed to the needs of the birds prior to hatching i add calcium to water to ensure good eggs and i also add grit to galley pots to ensure all hens are getting enough calcium

marine ply is the best but if your replacing the roof you may consider putting some perspex on it as well to let the sun bring your birds into form , heat = form

i find juicing easier to feed veg and fruits , and birds will eat carrot pulp
