Have to agree 99% of the time if a birds ailing when rests fine i would isolate give a few days no better then it goes in garden , ill or weak birds are gateways for illness in the loft if a birds constitution is sound they rarely ail if the managements right

terrible news its happening to frequently these days

as phill states collect fresh droppings mix in to a paste fill tub and a couple of swabs and send away simple as that , at least if the need to treat arises you can treat with a spectrum specific to the bacteria or what ever ailment you have as the drop the samples to see what treatment responds to best , treating blindly can make ailments worse as can give the pathogens the right enviroment to multiply
