  15. only - 8 here today , roads icey but not as bad new years eve and new years day , was driving on inch thick ice on un gritted stretches one car went from over taking lane tried moving in to crawler lane straight by and on to a lampost , that was just after Seaham new years eve traffic went from 70 mph to 5 mph and you could forget you had brakes , and was just as bad on way home new years day ungritted surfaces , i wouldnt mind seen gritters passing by not spraying the worse effected stretches and that was near where had a gritting filling station madness
  16. like the centre right and bottom right the dark and bronze very nice
  17. any products i use in the water are for antiparasitic to help deter parasites and keep airways clear be hard to prove that bloom does protect from rain as a powder it must be absorbant but you could argue when mixed with water it could change back to an oily state for protection , but in order to experiment you would need two identical pigeons feather wise ectra perhaps twins one bathed one not and to cover same terrain when raining , i would say my birds are more hard day birds and have never had a problem in most weather conditions if i expect rain i like my birds bathed as i believe that new bloom is better than old , but each to there own
  18. nice birds
  19. i think a healthy bird looks after its feathers , as its feathers are its way of regulating its temperature and protecting it from the elements , bathed birds are less likely to go down on rainy days as there depleated oils ( also known as bloom ( white powder ) ) have been removed by bathing and new oils protect the feathers some birds do look more wet than others is this down to the birds bathing less and not going through the changing of oils on it feathers or a different feather type ? either way intresting debate , we cant all agree but a healthy bird looks after itself and if we can help that then has to be better for the bird
  20. could be if not a hair
  21. cant see anything wrong with that any more and it will have a laxative effect Flax is more commonly known as linseed
  22. bugie seed
  23. many things can contribute to silky feathers , conditioning seeds are oily these will have the desired effect on the feathers so will various vegetables juiced carrots bring feathers to a top shine also takes the fat off the bird so thats how to change from inside out , and the other way is externaly via the bath 3 drops of tea tree oil and 3 drops of olbas oil great for respirity and a deterant for parasites and gives feathers that silky feel, so conditioning the pigeon inside and out
  24. aye implanted chip 50p weight next to nothing , transmitter back pack for pigeon 1llb in weight cant see them getting it off the ground lol ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
