built my previous loft at allotments out of shutter board coated it in creosote then bitumen painted it must be 10 year ago and not been painted since and still going strong

you could make a good job of it and put upvc cladding on you'd get no complaints just compliments Rat glue is just that a sticky glue that you can paste on a board rat walks on it gets stuck

not good , I'd of rung up environmental health to sort out , and educated your chicken friend also rat glue is good . Still you would be probably better to build yer own loft would work out much cheaper 8ft x 4ft shutter board and 2'x2' make a good loft and pretty quick
