Kojak Posted August 8, 2017 Report Posted August 8, 2017 M.s.p David Stewart asked questions in Holyrood about the effect the windfarms were having on birds and bats, the msp was concerned about the figures released from Germany and Spain about each turbine was killing 300 birds and bats, the figures in Scotland have not been released. The spinning blades change the air pressure causing Barotrauma that causes flying mammals lungs to haemorrhage.members of the John Muir trust, who fight to protect the enviroment, have been campaigning against wind farms, search for john muir trust to find more info. Why dont the pigeon authority get in touch with the m.s.p for the Highlands and Islands and make him aware of the problems the pigeon sport is having with heavy losses and see if he could offer any help in finding the cause.

greenbar Posted August 8, 2017 Report Posted August 8, 2017 We,ll never beat them, they are putting up every where, but no cheaper power for us,yet Scottish power up their prices by 12 %,some one is creaming it,not the customers,f in rip of,
Kyleakin Lofts Posted August 8, 2017 Report Posted August 8, 2017 They pay them to stop running them to prevent over-production, so why do we need more of them?
kingziemckay Posted August 8, 2017 Report Posted August 8, 2017 The RSPB is making hundreds of thousands of pounds from the wind power industry – despite the turbines killing millions of birds every year. Yet in its latest ‘partnership deal’, the bird charity receives £60 for every member who signs up to a dual-fuel account with windfarm developer Ecotricity. It also receives £40 each time a customer opens an account with Triodos Bank, which finances renewable industry projects including wind turbines. In a previous partnership with Southern & Scottish Electricity (SSE), which invests in wind and other renewable energy, the RSPB admits to having made £2 million over ten years. the rspb is ment to be a charity?? members of the public think with protecting birds?? its nothing more than a business!!out to make a fat profit!!and gaining it threw all the lies they can make up along the way!!wish members of the public would wake up!!
Guest johnhunter Posted August 8, 2017 Report Posted August 8, 2017 I don't know if wind turbines are killing any birds, but what I have noticed the buzzards are always flying round about them
red dog Posted August 8, 2017 Report Posted August 8, 2017 They erected a turbine at the headquarters in Sandy then tied themselves in knots trying to justify it, it would make a cat laugh
