REDCHEQHEN Posted November 22, 2016 Report Posted November 22, 2016 It's bad enough being unemployed - but for those of you who aren't, or haven't been lately this is why the number of unemployed has fallen Yesterday my husband 'registered' for contributory Job seekers allowance by phone - because he had two abortive attempts on line He was only claiming for himself (it took one hour and fifteen minutes by the way 4.45 - 6.00pm) They wanted to know - MY date of birth and MY National Insurance numberHow much was MY income, how much in MY bank account / savings account /ISA / was I in line for any inheritance (WTF...) Failure to disclose any of the information and the claim would be terminatedI feel that all MY rights, personal information have been totally desecrated How dare they feel they have a right to this private and personal information when I was not included in the claim - this part of the DWP has recently been privatised. Today we have had 2 phone calls from the area Job centre and local Job centre. The first asking what benefit has been applied for - and how the majority of the information was therefore irrelevant - and to put a complaint in about this new company...... I'm disgusted, and feel we have been 'scammed'I will be making a complaint - and a copy will be going to my MP (and it will state that on the complaint) This will cause a lot of arguments in households - and less on the unemployment register. Big Brother is watching and compiling a private register........

They collect information from every survey that's done even your shopping surveys never fill in a survey for a company / exhibition center or from people in the street it all goes back to big brother They should look at there own expenses and claims first but we are entitled to it NOT you is the reply !!!

I had been in continuous employment from aged 17 to 67, except for a period of 9 years between 1998 and 2006 when I was registered unemployed and received 40p [40 PENCE] a month Job Seekers Allowance (JSA), paid 20p every two weeks by bank transfer into my bank account. Every so often, 'we' were called in and told we were going on a training course when we were taken off JSA - and the jobless total - and put on a Training Allowance, which paid me the same 40p plus the cost of my bus fares to the Training Centre refunded weekly in arrears. 'We' were 'in training' so therefore not unemployed and not included in the monthly jobless figures for that month. During those 8 years I became part of the same Circus, the same faces joining Training and being replaced by the same faces when we left. When I did get off this merry-go-round, it was to go to a job that I'd seen advertised in the paper, not the Job Centre. No wonder they closed down.

If you are on a decent wage they will tell him YOU can support him until he finds work. They will also demand he continues to sign on even though they give hom nowt. It's a complete Racket and designed to screw every last H'penny off decent hard working folk. Makes me sick !!

If you are on a decent wage they will tell him YOU can support him until he finds work. They will also demand he continues to sign on even though they give hom nowt. It's a complete Racket and designed to screw every last H'penny off decent hard working folk. Makes me sick !! Also whilst there were some Expenses fraudsters taken to task and prosecuted the practice continues uninterrupted !!! 😡
wallace1959 Posted November 23, 2016 Report Posted November 23, 2016 i was made redundant in 2010 and for the fist tie went to the dss in broxburn the treatment i rcieved was appalling all the time watching a steady supply of people coming in and being handed money i got heehaw in three months and got myself a job i will never set foot in one again . We have my wifes mum and dad living with us and will never ask for anything it is a disgrace what goes on here now
