b.massey Posted September 6, 2016 Report Posted September 6, 2016 What does recognised racing lofts mean? Why not flown classes if only for racing birds?
Kyleakin Lofts Posted September 6, 2016 Author Report Posted September 6, 2016 What does recognised racing lofts mean? Why not flown classes if only for racing birds? Brian, I don't know about show classifications, so put up what I was told. Are you able to send me a copy of the recognised show classifications for future knowledge. They explicitly state no show racers and were attempting to draw an entry of racing pigeons. They felt that racing fanciers would not enter against show racers and the shows are designed for racing fanciers to meet socially during the winter months for a bit of a catch up.
b.massey Posted September 6, 2016 Report Posted September 6, 2016 Hi Andy Yeah totally understand not wanting show racers mate I'll PM you

Kyleakin Lofts Posted November 18, 2016 Author Report Posted November 18, 2016 Show on tomorrow. Hope to see some of you there.
Kyleakin Lofts Posted November 19, 2016 Author Report Posted November 19, 2016 On behalf of the members of Ayrshire North Road Fed, I would like to thank our judges for coming along and judging our entry. Derek Hay, Jim Tullan, Evan Jones and Andra McBurnie judged our classes. Derek was accompanied by his son and Jim Tullan who had damaged his wrist had brought a friend to cover his handling class, sorry Hugh, but I forget your surname. There was a good atmosphere at the show and Sanny Owens' baking went down a treat. The pies and sausage rolls didn't last long either. This event helped to bring the members back together after the racing's end at August and we would like to thank the fanciers from further afield for coming along to support our show. The Ayrshire fanciers enjoyed your company. Our next event will be our Prize-Giving Disco during February and we look forward to this social which will bring us together just before the commencement of racing for 2017.A few fanciers had a very good show taking several places and I will post up the full result when I receive it.
Kyleakin Lofts Posted November 20, 2016 Author Report Posted November 20, 2016 I would hardly think it needs mentioning, but a public pat on the back to our organising team, Janice Mcdougall, Sandy Mcdougall and Sanny Owens for all their hard work prior to and on the day of our show.
