Rooster J. Cogburn Posted July 5, 2016 Report Posted July 5, 2016 I was getting loads in the loft a few weeks back.Hung up some pine cones about the place and sprayed some stuff with eucalyptus oil in it onto the walls, roof etc. apparently they don't like the stuff and sure enough they did clear out quickly.

Do you get the oil from the chemists and did you mix it with water or spray neat, does it effect the birds when in the loft.

Think it's the appearance of the pine cones they don't like more than a scent or that-resembles their predator's nests. You could get it from the chemist and dilute it or there are some loft sprays that have it in them. The stock nutrition Bio Air is good. I used to use it when I first started with the birds but hadn't seen it around for a while, managed to get a couple of bottles at Blackpool this year though. Carr's make one called enviromenth, that's £8.50 I won't get back
kingziemckay Posted July 6, 2016 Report Posted July 6, 2016 use deosect , or a product with permethrin last up to 3 to 6 months, can use it on birds also, for lice etcno insects in my loft ever after using it,not even moths atb
